Volunteers

Our volunteers are the smiling faces who create the warm and friendly atmosphere that keeps people coming back each year.

This feel good community event with its’ scenic, challenging course and festival style Mind & Body Expo has become a highlight of the running calendar. Every year it relies on over 150 Volunteers to make the event run smoothly.

There are lots of areas in which volunteers help. In the lead up to the event, packing and sending bibs, merchandise, ordering and collection of fresh food for the volunteers, organising post event freebies. On the Friday and Saturday before the event there will be setting up preparations, last minute EFTPOS registrations and merchandise sales.
When the big day finally arrives, some volunteers will arrive by 6am to ensure everything is ready – registration tables; collection tables; handing out freebies; BBQ sausage sizzle and a later shift will help with the packing up, rubbish collection and lots more. All volunteer duties will be completed by 10.30-11am.

These are just a few of the jobs that need to be done.

Throughout the event’s history it has managed to raise over half a million dollars for charity.

This year it specifically raises much needed funds for the ongoing support of the Indigenous Marathon Project graduates who come from our remote Australian communities.

Without your help none of this can be possible!

Please register your interest in volunteering and we will be in contact early August with further details.
