PARKING AND FACILITIES

Parking is LIMITED so we strongly encourage carpooling if you are coming in a group and only if restrictions allow! Please observe parking signs and DO NOT park on the grass in front of the school between Nolan Avenue and Studley Park Road.
Parking is permitted on Studley Park Road East of Hodgson Street, Studley Grounds Golf Course car park on Walmer Street, and on most side streets surrounding Burke Hall.   We suggest you study the locality map and plan in advance where you will park. Please allow for a short walk to the start event area.
PLEASE NOTE: Parking is not permitted on Studley Park Road opposite the double lines (West of Hodgson Street),  anywhere on Nolan Avenue and there is limited parking at Par 3 Golf Course.
Local authorities may issue infringement notices to cars parked illegally.

HELP DESK

An event Help Desk will be located immediately inside the hall. Please see our friendly staff for all your general enquiries on the day.
The Help Desk will be staffed from 6:30am onwards.

BIB COLLECTION

All those who enter prior to 10am, Monday 30th August will automatically have their race packs mailed to them in order to reduce pre-run crowds. If your race pack is not mailed to you, we recommend you pick it up the day before the race, Saturday 11th September between 10am-2pm from Burke Hall Campus, Nolan Ave Kew. You may also collect your race pack on the morning of the event from 6:30am.

BAG DROP

This year,  we will have a contactless baggage drop.  You must have your race bib with you and your number on your bag to drop off your bag before the race and to retrieve your bag after the race.  Please do not leave valuables at the baggage drop as we cannot be responsible for lost or stolen items.

ARRIVING AT THE START LINE

We ask you to consider crowd size and maintaining physical distancing when planning your arrival. All participants should be ready to join their wave 15 minutes prior to your event start time. Marshalling into the waiting bay will begin 10 minutes before your race start time, with ushers guiding participants to the start line. You may arrive earlier but we ask that you follow our Marshals and COVID-Safe guidelines on the day, and please remember to maintain 1.5m distance from others, where possible.

Volunteers will be around to help guide you around safely. Please pay attention to instructions for your event  over the loudspeaker.

DROP AND RUN

This year, we will have volunteers collecting any unwanted warm clothes at the start line. So, for anyone who would prefer to arrive with the bare minimum but want to keep warm at the start line – you can wear something old and throw off at the very last minute if you like. All unwanted clothing will be donated to charity.

Acknowledgement to Country
The de Castella Run acknowledges Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the traditional custodians of this country and acknowledges their connection to culture, land and community. Our event is on the traditional Country of Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung peoples of the Kulin nation. We thank traditional custodians – past, present and emerging – who care for Country so we get to enjoy its majestic beauty.
