THE COURSE

Set on the traditional Country of the Warundjeri Woi-Wurrung peoples of the Kulin nation. The 5km, 10km and 15km events start and finish at Burke Hall – Xavier College. Runners start by proceeding along Nolan Avenue then turn left into Walmer Street and continue downhill where you run city bound towards the challenging rolling hills of the Kew Boulevard. The course follows the boulevard out and back along the same route and finishes on the grounds of Burke Hall.  
This course is scenic, somewhat hilly and somewhat challenging –  but that is what is so great about this course. It is a chance to push yourself to the max and take yourself away from your comfort zone. A great course for families to walk/run and challenging for those who are daring to push themselves to their limit.

5KM SCHOOL 'MIND OVER MATTER' RUN

We all know the last two years have been challenging for all, especially for our younger generation. We want to invite students from Year 5 to Year 12 to join in our ‘Mind over Matter’ run. This event is your chance to run alongside mentors who are passionate about running and keen to encourage our younger generation to be outdoors and stepping outside our comfort zone. Prizes for the largest participating school.
If you would like to register a school, please email decastellarun@gmail.com to register your interest. Once we have your school details set up via our registration platform then you and your friends can register. 
Note: This wave is for school students ONLY and does not include parents or teachers.  Parents and carers who wish to run with a child MUST enter both themselves and child in a 5km General Wave.

This event is proudly delivered by Planning Partners. A 5km family event open for all walkers and runners. It is the perfect course to push yourself to the max and take yourself away from your comfort zone. A great course for families to walk/run.

This event is proudly delivered by Kay & Burton. Had enough of running 5km. Our 10km run is set on the PERFECT course for those who are wanting to take a test of speed and endurance in their racing program.
To reduce crowding on the course and allow for timely road re-opening,  this year we ask that all entrants in the 10km event be able to maintain an average of 8:00 minutes per kilometre (1 hr 20 min for 10km).   Roads used by the course will be closed to traffic from 7:00am until 11:00am.
We welcome those who wish to run or walk at a pace of more than 8:00 minutes per kilometre into the 5km event.

This event is proudly delivered by ON. Run on the roads where Australian champion marathon runner, Rob de Castella first found his love for running. Rob says this 15km course is a great lead up event to the Melbourne Marathon as the hills will test and build leg strength.
To reduce crowding on the course and allow for timely road re-opening,  this year we ask that all entrants into the 15km be able to maintain an average of 8:00 minutes per kilometre (under 2 hours  for 15km).  
We welcome walkers and those who wish to run at a pace of more than 8:00 minutes per kilometre into the 5km event.
