Major prizes
Major prizes are generously provided by the event major sponsors: MIZUNO and Runners World.
Outright Place Getters (1st – 3rd):
Major prize pack including a $200 MIZUNO shoe voucher, a bottle of Jean Paul’s Vineyard Shiraz, plus medallion are awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed male and female in each race distance.
Age Group Place Getters
The 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed male and female in each age category (below) in each race distance will receive a de Castella Run medallion. There are six age categories as follows:
- Youth – Under 15
- Junior – 15 years to 17 years
- Adult – 18 years to 39 years
- Master – 40 years to 49 years
- Veteran – 50 years to 59 years
- Super Veteran – 60 years and over
Age category winners will receive their medals on the day if possible, otherwise by mail. Age categories will be determined by age on the day of the event.
Team Prizes
Prizes and medallions will be awarded to scoring members of the first team across the line in the following categories.
5km / 10km / 15km Event
- Open Men’s Team
- Open Women’s Team
- Open Mixed Team
5km Event Only
- Schools Boys Team*
- Schools Girls Team*
- Schools Mixed Team*
* Must be school age to be eligible
For the purpose of this award, teams shall comprise a minimum of three members entered into the same race distance. The winning team shall be determined by adding the times of the fastest three team members. The team with the lowest aggregate time shall be the winner. Winning teams will be announced on the day if possible, or if not possible within two weeks after the event.
Spot Prizes
Spot Prizes will be drawn throughout the morning based on BIB number.
You need to retain your BIB and stay around for the presentations so you can claim your prize!! Please note: runners must be present to claim their prize or another number will be drawn.
